Louisa Ashton: Oh Sing Me Now a Strange Drunken Song

Back in 2021 patrons of The Elephant and Castle, Thurlaston were met with the following mysterious statement:

“There have been some strange going’s on around The Elephant and Castle. Join Louisa and her Private and (supposedly) Psychic Detective Miss Smarton who has had ‘a bloody mad’ dream of a forgotten drinking song. She’s traced its origins to the Elephant and Castle and she’s enlisting YOU to help her uncover a historical secret. She’ll send the case-files as she pieces together the mystery. Join us every week as the next piece of the puzzle is revealed with a new package of evidence.”

Each week, participants could pick up a package from the pub or check out the digital parcel online. Each parcel contained artifacts, letters, interviews and other articles that helped unravel the mystery.
