Sara Clifford Writer in Residence 2019
INN CROWD and South Downs Writer in Residence Sara Clifford, a playwright and community arts practitioner based in Lewes, spent 3 months during 2019 chatting to over 500 people across the South Downs – from museum volunteers, school children and pub goers, to people at family creative workshops, walking groups and village fetes.
Marcus O’Dair Writer in Residence 2018
In July 2018, musician, broadcaster and lecturer MARCUS O’DAIR took up a unique residence in the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The residence formed part of a year of heritage focused events, activities and celebrations ‘Head for the Hills’ marking 50 years since the designation of the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the 40th anniversary of the opening of the North Downs Way National Trail.
